Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of variably setting control conditions for avoiding hitch stitch. A program to be executed by a CPU 101 performs detouring control including determining whether a direction of forming a next stitch belongs to a predetermined region corresponding to hitch stitch, and moving, when the direction is determined to correspond to the predetermined region, a holder (5) that holds an object to be sewn to make a needle thread extending downward from a sewing needle detour in a direction corresponding to perfect stitch, and then moving the holder to a target position corresponding to the next stitch. An operation panel 6 and a program (setting means) to be executed by the CPU 101 variably set conditions of the detouring control. This variable setting can be implemented in forms of user operation via the operation panel 6 or setting or the like of detouring control program data incorporated in sewing pattern program data. The conditions of the detouring control include enabling execution of the detouring control and variably setting a range of the predetermined region.
