Abstract:
The present invention provides a continuous production device and a continuous production method that can prevent back flow of evaporation components generated during polymerization and ensure that a continuous solution polymerization reaction proceeds. The continuous production device (100) comprises a housing chamber (2) that houses a plurality of reaction vessels (1a-1d), and a reaction mixture is produced in at least one of the reaction vessels by conducting a polymerization reaction of a monomer in a solvent. The reaction vessels (1a-1d) communicate with each other via a gas phase part (4) in the housing chamber (2) and are sequentially connected, and the reaction mixture is sequentially transferred to each reaction vessel. At the boundary, or in the vicinity thereof, between at least a pair of reaction vessels neighboring each other, the housing chamber (2) comprises a baffle (9) that narrows a cross-sectional area of the gas phase part (4).
