Abstract:
A connection angle detection apparatus (30A-30D) acquires shape information of target members (40-1 to 40-6) having a prescribed shape installed in a first vehicle (3, 2) through use of a shape information acquisition device (20) installed in a second vehicle (2, 3), and detects, as the connection angle between the first vehicle (3, 2) and the second vehicle (2, 3), the angle formed by a direction specified on the basis of a prescribed condition from the acquired shape information of the target members (40-1 to 40-6) and the maintained front-rear direction of a vehicle body of the second vehicle (2, 3). The target members (40-1 to 40-6) are installed in the first vehicle (3, 2) so that the specified direction matches the front-rear direction of the vehicle body of the first vehicle (3, 2).
