Provided are a compact liquid release system and an oral cleaning method. The compact liquid release system comprises a liquid pump apparatus (1), a liquid inflow channel (3), and a liquid outflow channel (5). The liquid pump apparatus (1) comprises a liquid pump cavity (11), a piston (12) slidably arranged in the liquid pump cavity (11), and a piston rod (13) arranged through the liquid pump cavity (11) in a liquid-tight manner and connected to the piston (12). The piston (12) separates the liquid pump cavity (11) into a rod cavity (14) and a rodless cavity (15). A one-way outflow valve (2) that only allows the liquid in the rod cavity (14) to flow into the rodless cavity (15) is integrated in the piston (12). The liquid inflow channel (3) is in communication with the rod cavity (14) by means of a one-way inflow valve (4). The liquid outflow channel (5) is in communication with the rodless cavity (15). The compact liquid release system saves space for the one-way outflow valve (2), resulting in a more compact overall structure and a more portable product similar to an oral irrigator.
