Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of communications, and can be applied to DU migration in an IAB network. Provided are a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method is applied to a first CU or a module in the first CU, and comprises: receiving a first message, wherein the first message comprises an ID for identifying an MT of an IAB node in a third CU, and an ID of the third CU; according to the first message, determining whether to migrate a DU of the IAB node; and when it is determined that the DU of the IAB node is to be migrated, sending a second message to the IAB node, wherein the second message is used for instructing the DU of the IAB node to establish an F1 interface with the third CU. The solution in the embodiments of the present application can support DU migration triggered by a topological change in an MT, thereby solving the problem of the prior art not supporting DU migration during a continuous partial migration process.
