Abstract:
A communication method and apparatus, relating to the technical field of communications, and capable of satisfying a packet delay budget (PDB) requirement of a data set, reducing data transmission delay, and improving data transmission reliability when a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity of a terminal device submits the data set to a radio link control (RLC) entity. The method may comprise: a first PDCP entity of a terminal device acquires one or more data sets, and submits the data set to an RLC entity associated with the data set, wherein the terminal device comprises a plurality of PDCP entities, the plurality of PDCP entities comprise the first PDCP entity, different PDCP entities acquire data sets of different importance levels, the first PDCP entity is associated with a plurality of RLC entities, and different data sets are associated with different RLC entities.
