Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of communications. Provided are a communication method and apparatus. In the communication method, even if a terminal device is in a situation, i.e. the terminal device has no serving cell in a first frequency band and supports a per-frequency range measurement gap, and measurement is based on the per-frequency range measurement gap, or the terminal has no measurement gap in the first frequency band, the terminal device can still determine carrier-specific scaling factors (CSSFs) of N gap-based measurements according to information of the N gap-based measurements, wherein frequency points of the N gap-based measurements are located in the first frequency band, and N is a positive integer. Thus, a CSSF determination method applicable to a terminal device in such a situation is provided.
