Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a second entity receiving a request message from a network function entity, wherein the request message comprises an initial certificate signed by a first entity for the network function entity and identity information of the network function entity, which first entity is a trusted entity of the second entity; verifying the consistency between the initial certificate signed by the first entity for the network function entity and the identity information of the network function entity; and if a verification result indicates that the verification is passed, signing a terminal entity certificate for the network function entity. On the basis of the method, according to the fact that an initial certificate is inconsistent with an identity forged by an attacker or the identity of a malicious network function entity, a second entity can refuse to sign a terminal entity certificate, such that the attacker or the malicious network function entity is prevented from acquiring a terminal entity certificate, using the terminal entity certificate to communicate with other network function entities in a network, and stealing information from the other network function entities, thereby improving the security of network communication.
