Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of mitigating the influence of a decrease in the accuracy of time synchronisation in a wireless access network. A communication device is provided in a communication system with redundancy between a plurality of time sources and a plurality of nodes that make up a wireless access network. The communication device comprises: a first port which receives signals relating to a first time source; a second port which receives signals relating to a second time source; a selection unit which selects the first port or the second port; a time synchronisation unit which uses signals received via the selected the port to perform a time synchronisation process; a detection unit which detects events that decrease the accuracy of the time synchronisation process; a transmission unit which transmits information relating to a threat to the time synchronisation process to a communication management device; and a reception unit which receives information representing a recommended port from the communication management device. The selection unit selects the first port or the second port on the basis of the degree of priority of the first time source, the degree of priority of the second time source, and information received from the communication management device.
