Abstract:
A columnar battery and an electrical device. The columnar battery comprises an electrode assembly. The electrode assembly comprises a structure in which a positive electrode pole piece, a diaphragm and a negative electrode pole piece are stacked and wound. The positive electrode pole piece comprises a positive electrode current collector. An active material layer, an insulating layer and an empty foil region are disposed on a first surface of the positive electrode current collector. The active material layer, the insulating layer and the empty foil region are sequentially arranged in the axial direction of the columnar battery. The electrode assembly also comprises a flattening portion. The flattening portion has a flattening plane formed by bending and overlapping the empty foil region along a winding central shaft of the electrode assembly. The insulating layer plays a role in supporting the positive electrode current collector, and can prevent the flattening portion from being folded to exceed the diaphragm and contact the negative electrode pole piece to cause a short circuit.
