Abstract:
Provided is a coin processing device that can efficiently remove deformed coins from among a plurality of types of coins using a simple configuration. The present invention comprises: a conveying mechanism that conveys coins on a conveying surface; a step part that contacts the rim part of a coin conveyed by the conveying mechanism, and guides the conveying of the coin; and a pressing part that has a pressing surface for pressing the conveyed coin toward the step part. The height of the area of the step part that contacts the rim part of the coin is less than the minimum thickness of the coin to be processed. The pressing surface has an inclined part that comes into contact with the top side of the rim part of the coin, which is the opposite side to the conveying surface in the thickness direction of the coin. The coin conveyed by the conveying mechanism rotates in a state of being pressed on the step part by the pressing part.
