Abstract:
The present invention relates to a clothing treatment apparatus provided with a steam generation device, and a method for controlling the clothing treatment apparatus. The clothing treatment apparatus comprises: a cabinet; an accommodation part which is located inside the cabinet and accommodates an object; and a steam generation device which is located outside the object accommodation part and generates steam that is to be supplied to the accommodation part. The steam generation device includes: a housing that accommodates steam water and forms a heating space; a cover covering the housing; a first heater that heats the steam water from below a first water level; and a second heater that heats, from above the first water level, the steam water or steam heated by the first heater.
