Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a closing plate installation structure and a closing plate installation method that can reduce the number of components to be used and shorten the amount of time required for installation. The installation structure for closing plates 4 according to the present invention comprises: a three-sided frame 2 having vertical frames 2B installed on both lateral sides of an opening WB in a hoistway 101 of an elevator 100; and closing plates 4 which close up wall gaps between the vertical frames 2B and side surfaces WB2 of the opening WB in the hoistway 101. Each of the vertical frames 2B has formed therein locking pieces 3 that are cut and raised from a constituent member of the vertical frame 2B. Each of the closing plates 4 is equipped with locking holes 9 in which the respective locking pieces 3 are fitted.
