Description:
CLIMBING SYSTEM

TECHNICAL FIELD

This inovation is about a climbing system whis is going to be used to create a new discipline in the climbing sport.

Particularly the invention relates to

1- A hold that allows the athlete to move on the composite wall surface by using the holding surfaces of the hold.

2- A new designed t-nut system which allows the athlete to climb on the climbing wall by attaching the shaft on the handle. The t-nut system is connected to any fixed object with mounting apparatus, located at the back of the composite surface and positioned horizontally and vertically at regular distances.

STATE OF THE ART

Climbing is a physical activity done with hands or feet (or any other part of the body) to move upwards on a vertical surface (indoor climbing walls, rocks, ice masses etc.)

It is a sport for recreational or competitive purposes or to train professional soldiers in the armies. It is a hobby or sport for many people.

In the current technique, people use traditional equipment such as hex, screw, tinat, drill while setting a route for climbing. This requires a long effort, time and cost.

In current techniques, athletes cannot constantly climb in different routes to improve their climbing ability.

In the current technique, the need for tools and tools such as screws, alloys, drills, ladders, forklifts, routers and routing labor used during route setting creates cost and time losses.

In the current technique, more time is devoted to route setting in competitions than the duration of the competition. In the current technique, the t-nuts, screws, which are the equipment that make up the wall, are quickly deformed due to the continuous hold and element removal. This is full of maintenance labor, maintenance cost and maintenance time.

In the current technique, athletes have to compete according to the ability of the route setter, in this case, the route that is considered to be suitable for the route setter for athletes is sometimes not suitable for the athletes due to the characteristics such as the ages and height of the athletes.

In the current technique, all competitors have to race on the same route.

In the current technique, tactics, strategy, analytical intelligence are not very necessary, especially strength and endurance are important factors.

The climbing wall to be built in the current technique has high costs. Due to this high cost, climbing sport cannot become widespread and popular.

Because of the handle and elements used in the current technique are very variable and expensive, this sport cannot reach large masses of people.

In the current technique, because of the athletes use common holds and elements in training and competitions, the risk of disease transmission is very high.

The routes made in the current technique remain on the wall for a very long time due to the difficulty of setting the new route, so elements and holds cannot be disinfected and infectious disease in one athlete may affect other athletes.

In the current technique, all athletes climb on a single route, they are kept in the isolation room before and during the competition so that they do not see each other's climbing. Competitors' waiting in this room before the competition puts them under stress and creates inactive, wasted time. In addition, this situation causes the competitions to progress slowly and the number of days of the competitions increases.

In the current technique, athletes are dependent on the climbing hall. As a result, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems in the current technique, the need for a new economic, useful climbing system and the insufficiency of existing solutions have made it necessary to make an improvement in this technical field. OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to the climbing system used to create a new discipline in the climbing sport, which was developed to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages and bring new advantages to the relevant technical field.

The primary object is to create a mixed sport climbing discipline by incorporating features from rock climbing, speed climbing, lead climbing, boulder climbing disciplines.

An additional object of the invention is to bring a new excitement to climbing.

An additional object of the invention is to create a new discipline for the sports world.

Another aim of the invention is to spend the time spent on route construction in competitions only for the competition and to make this sport much more efficient, fun and exciting. An additional object of the invention is to eliminate the time and cost of maintenance that must be done due to the deformation of the handle and elements forming the wall during disassembly and assembly.

An additional object of the invention is that not every athlete uses the same handles, the handles and elements do not stay on the wall continuously, and reduces the risk of disease transmission among the athletes by providing a hygienic environment.

An additional object of the invention is to reduce the risk of accidents to zero due to the possibility of climbing safely in the absence of authorized persons, since the routes on the wall in sports halls are permanent during training and competitions.

Another aim of the invention is to make climbing sport at home with a home type climbing kit and to eliminate the gym dependency of the athletes. The elimination of this addiction will enable athletes to train at the desired intensity and at any time interval with unlimited route possibilities and technical development in situations such as bad weather conditions, pandemic situations, being away from the gym.

Another object of the invention is to increase the awareness and popularity of climbing sport by making it easier to find a climbing wall in many places where there is no climbing wall, as the home kit can be met with low costs. However, more athletes can be reached, the number of athletes in competitions increases, and as competition improves, there will be more skilled athletes, stronger and more ready for international competitions.

Another aim of the invention is to eliminate route setter mistakes and enable athletes to compete in a completely fair way.

An additional object of the invention is to eliminate the isolation room application in the competitions. Therefore, contestants will not be stressed in a closed room. The competitions will progress faster, more socially and more fun. In addition, since there is no technical problem in watching the climb of his opponents, an athlete will be able to examine the techniques and physical conditions of other athletes more closely and perform their training and climbs accordingly.

An additional object of the invention is to prevent the competitions from being prolonged and generally lasting two days due to efforts such as changing holds and route setting. This increased time causes extra accommodation expenses for dozens of contestants who change cities for the competition and their families, which causes some families and athletes to be unable to attend the competition or to follow the contests continuously. With the invention, competitions can usually be completed in a single day and such expenses will be eliminated.

An additional object of the invention is to enable the climbing sport to be performed not only by the athletes but also by their families with the home type climbing kit.

An additional object of the invention is to make the climbing sport, which will spread rapidly, as a result of all these innovations and facilities, become a universal sport and an alternative sport for large masses of people and a sport that will excite large masses of people.

In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the climbing system are described only for a better understanding of the subject and without any limiting effect.

In Figure 1-10, the climbing system and details of the invention are shown. Instead of the holds used fixedly on the wall in current climbing disciplines and existing climbing wall systems, in our invention, the athlete will carry the holds (10) to be used for climbing in his climbing harness (30) attached to his waist. During its climb, it will detach the shaft (12) of the handle (10) from the nests (31) in the climbing harness (30) and attach it to the shaft hole (23) of the t-nut (20). The athlete will make her/his move by using the holding surfaces (11) of the hold. (10) He/she will attach holds to the climbing wall (40) and will continue to move on the composite surface (43) by attaching the next holds (10) to the t-nuts (20).

Unwanted rotation of the holds (10) during climbing is not possible due to the special structure of the shaft (12) on the hold (10) and the shaft hole (23) on the t-nut (20). The mounting apparatus (42) of the climbing wall (40) is inclined and attached to any fixed object.

The construction (41) is used at the rear of the composite surface (43) of the climbing wall (40) to form the horizontal and vertical distances of the t-nuts (20) which the holds (10) will be attached, and it carries the weight of the system.

T-nuts (20) are fixed to the construction (41) through the fixing hole (22) on the mounting surface (21). The fixing hole (22) allows the t-nut (20) to be fixed to the construction (41) at an angle.

Our invention is a discipline that has brought new features to the sport climbing sports branch and has been specially designed on its own with many different elements not found in other disciplines. It is aimed that our invention will add a different dimension to sport climbing with the climbing wall (40), tinat (20), handle (10) and competition conditions. In our invention, economic and rational solutions have been brought to many problems seen in sports climbing disciplines. It will provide athletes with an easier and more efficient training opportunity. It will make the competitions much more competitive. A new discipline will be brought to the world of sports. It is predicted that it will be an important sport discipline for the personal development (physical-mental) of the athletes. In addition, with the home-type ready-made wall system of our invention, it will be possible for not only athletes but also athletes' family members to experience this sport comfortably at their homes. The route changes seen in the current climbing disciplines have been eliminated and it has been made possible for the athlete to develop her/his technique, physique and sports experience in unlimited variable routes.

By eliminating the advantage of age and physical characteristics among athletes in current disciplines, their techniques, endurance, analytical intelligence, strategic thinking skills will become more important for comparing athletes in our invention. With the home-type wall system of our invention, the sports climbing branch can be applied to smaller provinces, districts, halls and schools, so that the number of athletes interested in this sport will increase with the invention. Our invention is a more suitable discipline for the candidate athletes to climb and watch them by the clubs because our invention is a system which the climber makes his own route or the trainer who trains the climber can give appropriate routes to that climber.

In addition, new manufacturing sectors will occur only for materials developed specifically for our invention.

In the current climbing branch, all athletes use the same handles, so there is a risk of disease transmission. In our invention, each athlete will use his own special handle and healthier and hygienic training and competitions will be made.

In the current disciplines, before and during the competition, the athletes are kept in the isolation room so that they do not see the route and the climb of other athletes. With this invention, each athlete will climb on his own unique route so there will be no need to wait in the isolation room. This will prevent the athlete from being stressed before the competition. The time spent in the isolation room will be active, efficient, fun and social for the athletes with our invention.

In the current climbing walls, it is possible and seen that curious people can climb the wall without safety when the authorities and responsible persons are not near the wall. Because there are fixed holds or elements on the wall. This vulnerability, which can lead to accident and death, will be covered by our invention, which is empty and unclimable when the athlete and trainer are not in training.

While the point to be compared between the athletes in the competitions is the performance of the athletes, in the current system, variables such as the route, route maker and the physical characteristics of the wall also affect the athlete and the competition result negatively. In some cases, it causes athletes not to be compared properly. With our invention, all these negativities will be eliminated and the athletes will only be compared with their own performance.

The scope of protection of this project application is determined in the requests section.

And it cannot be limited to those described above for illustrative purposes.

It is clear that a person skilled in the technique can create the innovation disclosed in the invention using similar embodiments and / or apply this embodiment to other similar purpose fields used in the related technique.

Therefore, it is obvious that such structures will lack the criteria of innovation and especially exceeding the known state of the technique.
