Abstract:
Provided is a chair having a seat constructed so as to be capable of suitably taking an ordinary posture and a forward inclined posture, without having to provide a large-scale mechanism at the front part of the seat. For that purpose, this chair is provided with: a support base B supported by legs A; and a seat C that is disposed on top of the support base B and that can take an ordinary posture (ps) and a forward inclined posture (pf) which is more inclined forward as compared to the ordinary posture (ps). The front part of the seat C is supported rotatably with respect to the support base B. The rear part of the seat C is supported by a back supporting body L that is supported by the support base B in the ordinary posture (ps), and is separated upward away from the back supporting body L in the forward inclined posture (pf). An intermediate member U that is capable of limiting the separation distance of the rear part of the seat C with respect to the back supporting body L in the forward inclined posture (pf) is provided.
