Abstract:
A chair and a backrest. The backrest comprises a backrest base body (1) and a backrest portion (2), wherein the backrest portion (2) is located on the front side of the backrest base body (1) and hingedly connected to same; the backrest portion (2) can be turned forwards to adjust to increase the back supporting angle, and further comprises a backward turning stopping device (3) used for limiting the backrest portion (2) to prevent the backrest portion (2) from turning backwards after the backrest portion (2) is turned forwards. When the back supporting angle is adjusted to be increased, the space occupation amount of the chair can be reduced as much as possible, the walking influence on workers in the office environment is small, and more chairs can be more reasonably arranged when the space is small.
