Abstract:
A ceramic filter is characterized in that a mixed material prepared by kneading an aggregate (10) made from a granular ceramic material together with a specified amount of an organic thickening agent, a specified amount of a powdery glass and a specified amount of an inorganic cement which serve as binders and a proper amount of water is provided, and the mixed material is molded, is then heated, and is then cooled to adhere the aggregate (10). The ceramic filter is also characterized in that the percentages of the organic thickening agent, the powdery glass and the inorganic cement are 0.1% to 5% by weight, 0.5% to 10% by weight and 0.5% to 10% by weight, respectively, relative to the whole weight of the mixed material.
