SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26)

Description:
CATERPILLAR TRACK OF A TOY VEHICLE

The invention relates to mechanical toy vehicles, namely to components used in such toy vehicles. Such toy vehicles belong to constructors, namely to a set of individual elements that can be assembled into a toy model, and individual elements of an already assembled model are made with the ability to move around their axis.

The technical solution used in the invention can be used to assemble toy and souvenir sets, prefabricated mechanical models of toy vehicles and other constructors, prefabricated models obtained by connecting in a certain sequence the constituent elements included in such sets and providing the necessary fixing elements ready model and others.

Such models develop the creative imagination of a person who collects such a mechanical model, logical thinking, attention and persistence. Such mechanical models include, in particular, prefabricated models that include elements that can move, three- dimensional puzzles and other toy structures in which it is necessary to fix the elements.

From a technical level, a well-known toy tank (UK patent GB142960, IPC A63H17/045; A63H17/14, application date 03.03.1919) with track, which is a technical solution. The caterpillar presented in this way in the patent is a tape consisting of shaped elements. Each element of the track is made by stamping from thin sheet metal, with slots in the necessary places, and the part between the slots is pressed in such a way that a transverse jumper is obtained.

Thus, when assembling the parts, such kind of tape is stretched between the base and the rod of each element, after which each jumper is bent to its original position to firmly clamp the tape. The track formed in this way passes around the wheels of the vehicle so that the protrusions of the elements close the sides of the wheels and hold the track between them. The disadvantages of the presented technical solution are the excessive rigidity of the structure, which in turn affects the reliability of the entire structure, since distortions will constantly occur during the movement of the caterpillar, which will negatively affect the performance of the entire toy and, as it should, the resource of its use.

1

SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) The track belt of a toy tank is known from the prior technical level (PRC patent No. CN203408468U, IPC A63 H17/045 (2006.01), A63 H17/26 (2006.01), application date 03.06.2013) which consists of caterpillar track sections. The caterpillar track has several ropes, each rope passes successively through each section of the caterpillar track and tightly connects one section to another section in series on the rope, and the rope in turn butts together to become an annular caterpillar track. Said caterpillar track has at least two ropes which parallelly fasten the caterpillar track sections into a caterpillar track.

The main disadvantage of this technical solution is that during the movement of the caterpillar track, in the absence of a rigid connection between the sections, distortions will occur, which in turn can lead to jamming of the caterpillar tracks and the presence of a rope as a connecting element of the sections leads to an unreliable assembly of the toy, the lack of reliability of the connection of the toy's caterpillar track should also be attributed to the shortcomings.

Also, from the technical level, a caterpillar track for a toy vehicle closest to the claimed technical solution is known (patent of the People's Republic of China CN108499132A, IPC IPC A63 H17/045 (2006.01), A63 H17/26. (2006.01 ), application date 03.28.2018). A caterpillar track for a toy vehicle is assembled from several identical guide blocks that form a caterpillar track.

In addition, the front part of each of the blocks has a protrusion that completely coincides with the cutout located in the back part of the element. When assembling the caterpillar track, the front part of the guide block with a protrusion is inserted into the back part, which has a corresponding cutout, and the elements are fixed together with a pin.

The main disadvantage of the technical solution presented above is that the use of such a caterpillar track requires additional adjustment to eliminate its sagging, and the structure itself must withstand fairly high tensions. Also, the disadvantages of this technical solution are: the insufficient reliability of the connection in the event of sagging or weakening can lead to the opening of the elements.

The basis of the invention is the task of obtaining a caterpillar track for a toy vehicle, which ensures the elimination of the above-mentioned shortcomings, namely, reducing the laboriousness of regulation, increasing the reliability of the connection, reducing the laboriousness of manufacturing and ensuring acceptable performance of the toy.

2

SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) The given task is solved due to the fact that the caterpillar track of a toy vehicle is proposed, which consists of at least two links, one of which is a supporting link, and the second is a connecting link, each of the links is continuous, and the supporting link is formed by bending.

The connecting link of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle is made of a rectangular shape, and each side of the connecting link has a groove, and the grooves are made in such a way that at least two fixing elements are formed from two opposite sides.

The support link of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle is made in the form of a rectangle, on two opposite sides of which there are protrusions. On the other side of the supporting link, at least two transverse cuts are made on each side, facing each other from opposite sides. Transverse slots located opposite each other form a fold line.

The distance between the transverse slots located on one side of the support link is greater than the distance from the slots to the side of the support link on which the protrusions are located. Between each transverse slot and the side of the support link on which the protrusion is located, there is an opening, the diameter of which is selected in such a way that it is possible to place the fixing element of the connecting link of the caterpillar track toy vehicle.

A rectangular hole is made in the center of the track link of the toy vehicle.

In addition, the protrusions located on the sides of the track support link are made in the form of semi-ovals, and there are slots between the semi-ovals and the support link.

In addition, two opposite sides of the rectangular hole located in the center of the support link have protrusions that can be bent along the bend line of the protrusions.

In another variant of the embodiment of the invention, the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle consists of at least two links, one of which is a supporting link, and the other is a connecting link, each of the links is continuous, and the supporting link is formed by bending.

The connecting link of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle is made of a rectangular shape, and on each side of the connecting link there is a groove, and the grooves are made in such a way that at least two fastening elements are formed from the two opposite sides of the connecting link.

In turn, the support link of the toy vehicle caterpillar track is made in the form of a rectangle, on two opposite sides of which there are protrusions, on other opposite

3

SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) sides of the support link there are identical grooves, one opposite the other. Moreover, the grooves are located symmetrically relative to the middle of the support link, so the edges of the grooves form a bending line, which ensures the formation of the support link by bending.

Between the side of each groove and the side of the support link to which the protrusion is attached, there is a hole, and the diameter of the hole is selected in such a way that it allows the fixing element of the connecting link of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle to be located in it.

A rectangular hole is made in the center of the support link of the toy transport track.

In addition, the protrusions located on the sides of the support link of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle are made in the form of semi-ovals, and there are slots between the semi-ovals and the support link.

In addition, the two opposite sides of the rectangular hole located in the center of the support link have protrusions that can be bent along the bend line of the protrusions.

The essence of the invention is explained by the drawings on which the most convenient for understanding and implementation of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle is presented. Note that the presented drawings do not limit the implementation of the claimed invention, but are directed to the explanation of the technical solution.

Fig. 1 General view of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle.

Fig. 2 The connecting link of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle.

Fig. 3 Caterpillar track support link of a toy vehicle, first version.

Fig. 4 Caterpillar tracks support link of the toy vehicle, second version.

The proposed caterpillar track of a toy vehicle, one of the variants of which is presented in fig. 1 , consists of the support link (1) of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle and the connecting link (2) of the caterpillar track. The connecting link (2) and the supporting link (1) are mainly made of a solid sheet of metal, which provides the necessary opportunity for bending parts of the track of the caterpillar track.

The connecting link (2) of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle is made of a rectangular shape, and each of the sides of the connecting link has a groove (3), and

4

SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) the specified grooves (3) are made in such a way that on two opposite sides of the connecting link (2) at least two fixing elements (4) are formed.

The support link (1) of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle is made in the form of a rectangle, on two opposite sides of which there are protrusions (5). At least two transverse slits (6) are made on the other sides of the support link (1) on each side facing each other on opposite sides. The location of the transverse slots (6) in this way ensures the formation of the bending line (7), which allows the support link (1) to be formed by bending.

Between each transverse slot (6) and the side of the support link, which contains the protrusion (5), there is a hole (8), and the diameter of the hole is selected in such a way that it allows locating the fixing element (4) of the connecting link (2) of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle.

A rectangular hole (10) is made in the center of the support link.

Additionally, the protrusions (5) located on the sides of the support link are made in the form of semi-ovals, and there are slots (9) between the semi-ovals and the support link.

In addition, the two opposite sides of the rectangular hole located in the center of the support link (1) have protrusions (not shown on the drawing) that can be bent along the bend line of the protrusions.

In another variant of the embodiment of the invention, which is presented in Fig. 4, the support link (1) of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle is made in the form of a rectangle, on two opposite sides of which there are protrusions (5), on the other opposite sides of the support link there are identical grooves (13) one against the other. Moreover, the grooves (13) are located symmetrically relative to the middle of the support link (1), so the edges of the grooves (13) form a bend line (7) that ensures the formation of the support link (1) by bending.

Between the side of each groove (13) and the side of the support link to which the protrusion is attached, there is a hole (8), and the diameter of the hole is selected in such a way that it allows locating the fixing element (4) of the connecting link (2) of the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle.

A rectangular hole (10) is made in the center of the support link.

In addition, the protrusions (5) located on the sides of the support link (1) are made in the form of semi-ovals, and there are slots between the semi-ovals and the support link (1) (not shown in the drawing).

5

SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) Additionally, the two opposite sides of the rectangular hole (10) located in the center of the support link (1) have protrusions (11) that can be bent along the bend line of the protrusions (12).

In first of the variants of the embodiment of the invention, the caterpillar track of the toy vehicle is obtained as follows. The supporting link (1) is formed by bending along the bending line (7), while in the process of forming the supporting link while fixing the elements (4) of the connecting link (2) of the toy vehicle caterpillar track, insert them into the holes (8) of the support link (1). Next, a connecting link (2) is added to the support link (1), and then a support link (1) is added to the connecting link (2) until the track of the toy vehicle is completely formed. In its final form, the caterpillar track has a closed circle that covers the wheels or rollers of the toy vehicle.

Connecting links perceive only the vertical component, and supporting links perceive traction loads. Since each link works in its own direction and perceives its own loads, the misalignments that occur during operation practically do not affect the work of the caterpillar track as a whole.

The dimensions of the support link make it possible to constructively ensure the accuracy of the bends during the production of blanks by both laser cutting and photoetching.

The number of supporting links and connecting links is determined during the design of each specific model of the toy vehicle and practically does not affect the performance of the structure in general.
