Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cacao-derived composition containing a free ceramide, as well a moisturizer, a skin texture improving agent, a hair texture improving agent, a skin cosmetic, a hair cosmetic, a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition, each containing the cacao-derived composition. Provided is a cacao-derived composition containing an extract of cacao bean shells, wherein the extract of cacao bean shells, which contains a cacao-derived free ceramide, is obtained by a method comprising: a step for separating crushed cacao beans into a cacao bean nib fraction and a cacao bean shell fraction by wind sorting to obtain the cacao bean shell fraction as a first cacao-derived material; and a step for extracting the first cacao-derived material with an extraction solvent to obtain the extract of the cacao bean shells. Also provided are a moisturizer, a skin texture improving agent, a hair texture improving agent, a skin cosmetic, a hair cosmetic, a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition, each containing the aforesaid cacao-derived composition.
