Abstract:
Provided are a box from which an object accommodated inside the box can be removed easily, and a box material with which the box can be formed. A lid portion (10) of a box (1) includes a first peripheral wall portion (12) surrounding a top plate portion (11). An accommodating portion (20) of the box includes a second peripheral wall portion (22) surrounding a bottom plate portion (21). The first peripheral wall portion of the accommodating portion has a lower height than the first peripheral wall portion of the lid portion. The lid portion includes a supported surface (14A) that is disposed below the top plate portion and that is supported by an upper edge portion of the second peripheral wall portion in a state in which the lid portion is closed.
