Abstract:
This box-making device (1) is for making a carton (15) comprising a body portion (15a), outer flaps (15b), and middle flaps (15c) by bonding the outer flaps (15b) and the middle flaps (15c) together in a folded state. The box-making device comprises: a conveyance device (2) having a conveyor (21) for conveying the carton (15) and upstream-side spacers (22) capable of supporting upstream-side end parts of the carton (15) being conveyed; applicators (4) for applying a bonding material (16) to the middle flaps (15c); flap-folding guides (5) for folding the outer flaps (15b) at the outer side of the middle flaps (15c); pushing rollers (6) for pushing the outer flaps (15b) toward the middle flaps (15c) so as to come into contact with the bonding material (16); and regulating members (75) for regulating the posture of the outer flaps (15b) in the conveyance direction by coming into contact with the upstream-side end parts of the outer flaps (15b) at least at the point when the outer flaps (15b) begin to come into contact with the bonding material (16).
