Abstract:
The present invention relates to a ballast water treatment system and a vessel comprising same, the ballast water treatment system comprising: a carbon dioxide injection unit for injecting carbon dioxide into ballast water to lower the pH of the ballast water; and a neutralizing agent injection unit for injecting a neutralizing agent into the ballast water to remove the carbon dioxide, wherein the injection of the carbon dioxide by the carbon dioxide injection unit and the injection of the neutralizing agent by the neutralizing agent injection unit are repeated.
