Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an asphalt composition that exhibits an excellent processability, flow resistance, and low-temperature properties. The asphalt composition according to the present invention is characterized by comprising a polyphenylene ether (A); at least one block copolymer (B) selected from the group consisting of (B-0) nonhydrogenated block copolymers, (B-I) hydrogenates of block copolymers, and (B-II) hydrogenates of block copolymers; and asphalt (C), wherein the polyphenylene ether (A) has a solubility in n-hexane at 25°C of at least 5 mass% and a glass transition temperature of 100°C to 180°C.
