Abstract:
This article deduction device (10) has an acquisition unit (110) and an output unit (120). The acquisition unit (110) acquires data (hereinafter described as weight variation data) based on variations in detection values of a weight sensor (30). For instance, the acquisition unit (110) treats, as the weight variation data, data obtained by rearranging, in chronological order, the data acquired from the weight sensor (30). The acquisition unit (110) also acquires data indicating the motion (hereinafter described as motion data) of a hand of a person situated in a rack-front space. For instance, the acquisition unit (110) acquires, as the motion data, data obtained by rearranging, in chronological order, the data outputted to the article information deduction device (10) from a depth sensor (40). The output unit (120) uses the weight variation data and the motion data to output article identification information on an article that is deduced to have been taken out by the hand of the person situated in the rack-front space.
