Abstract:
The present invention provides a granule manufacturing apparatus and method, the apparatus comprising: a precipitation tank in which a metal melt is precipitated; a connecting part which includes a pump, and of which one side communicates with the precipitation tank; and a circulation tank communicating with the other side of the connecting part, wherein the precipitation tank has a spray nozzle part and a tundish disposed on top of the spray nozzle part, and the metal melt is ejected by means of the tundish and high-pressure water injection is performed by means of the spray nozzle part and the pump so that crude metal granules are manufactured. Therefore, a high-temperature melt produced through a high-temperature reducing and melting process of a submerged arc furnace (SAF) is cast in a crude metal of a granule form rather than a bulk form, so that the workability and productivity of a hydrometallurgy process, which is the following process, can be improved.
