Abstract:
An edge melter housing assembly that uses reactive polyurethane (PUR) hot-melt adhesives with a pre-melt system comprises two elongate vertical portions where the pre-melting unit is coupled. The upper and lower portions of the anti-residue housing are coupled mechanically, with no need for gaskets or adhesives. The construction engineering process using precision machining technologies guarantees a perfect flow of hot liquid adhesive in the upper and lower portions thereof to the glue applicator. The full equipment is fastened to the user's production line using a standard mechanical connection and can have different possible configurations, depending on the features of the production line, positioning the equipment to the left, to the right, or in the centre, in relation to the part that is to receive the adhesive.
