Abstract:

An ammonia fuel boiler 2 is provided with a furnace 20 including a furnace wall 19, and an ammonia burner 50 provided to the furnace wall 19. The ammonia burner 50 includes an ammonia supply passage configured to supply liquid ammonia, and an ammonia injection nozzle configured to inject the liquid ammonia supplied from the ammonia supply passage into the furnace 20 in a liquid state. Given that the specific volume of liquid ammonia is smaller than the specific volume of ammonia gas, the ammonia supply passage can be made smaller than when ammonia gas is supplied. A low-cost ammonia fuel boiler is thereby obtained.
