Abstract:
[Problem] Provided is an airbag system that appropriately protects an occupant even when a seat back is tilted beyond a prescribed angle in the event of a collision. [Solution] This airbag system (1) includes a roof airbag (35) that deploys toward the upper body of an occupant, a cushion airbag (31) that is disposed below a seat cushion (10) and that lifts the seat cushion (10), a collision detection sensor (40), a seat state detection sensor, and a control unit (50). The control unit (50) has a vehicle state detection unit (51), a seat state assessment unit (52), a roof airbag deployment part (53), and a cushion airbag deployment part (54). When a vehicle collision is detected and it is assessed that a seat back (11) is tilted rearward beyond a prescribed angle, the control unit (50) operates a first inflator via the roof airbag deployment part (53) after or at the same time as operating a second inflator via the cushion airbag deployment part (54).
