Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an air conditioner which can ensure safety when a flammable refrigerant is utilized. [solution] An air conditioner employing a flammable refrigerant, wherein an ion-exchange resin having sulfonic acid groups or ammonium groups as functional groups has been disposed inside a channel for the refrigerant. In association with operations of the air conditioner, an acid component of the refrigerant flowing through the refrigeration cycle reacts with the functional groups to thereby yield a first odorous substance.
