Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to improve the intestinal environment in animals such as livestock, and thereby prevent disease before it occurs, and to improve livestock productivity. This agent for increasing useful bacteria in animal intestines contains at least one fatty acid selected from the group consisting of caprylic acid, capric acid, and lauric acid, or salts thereof.
