Abstract:
Provided is an additive manufacturing (AM) device, wherein there is a technology for reducing the risk of abnormal stoppage of the AM device. According to one embodiment, an AM device for manufacturing a shaped object is provided. Such an AM device includes: a detector that detects the shape of the upper surface of an object being shaped; a determination unit that determines, from data obtained by the detection device, whether the state of the upper surface of the object being shaped is (1) an unmelted region, (2) an abnormally solidified region, or (3) a normally solidified region; and a repair device for repairing a region determined to be the abnormally solidified region by the determination device.
