An adaptive guided vehicle and a guiding method, which belong to the technical field of guided vehicles. The adaptive guided vehicle comprises a vehicle main body and an adjustment mechanism. A gravity component opposite to an inclination direction of the vehicle main body is generated by means of the adjustment mechanism, so as to increase the pressure of the vehicle main body on the side opposite to the inclination direction, and accordingly, the pressure of the vehicle main body on the side of the inclination direction decreases, such that friction forces on wheels on two sides of the vehicle main body also tend to be balanced, and the resistances at the wheels on the two sides of the guided vehicle are equal, thereby reducing the risk of a guided vehicle shifting to the side subjected to great resistance, which risk is caused by the resistance at the wheels on one side of the guided vehicle being excessively great, thus decreasing a shift tendency; and reducing the risk of the adaptive guided vehicle deviating from a normal driving path during travel.
