Abstract:
The present disclosure is related to the field of transportation. More specifically, the present invention is related to an adaptive electric vehicle that transforms into a different kind of electric vehicle to facilitate indoor use. The advantages of the present invention are that the users need only one e vehicle for both indoor and outdoor use. With the present invention, the indoor commuting will be faster, easy and downright convenient.

Claims:
CLAIMS 1. An adaptive electric vehicle, comprises: a rear frame portion for mounting a rear wheel; a front frame portion for mounting a front wheel, wherein the front frame portion being pivotally connecting to the rear frame portion such that the two frame portions are foldable towards each other to achieve a folded state of the vehicle; a pair of casters (104A, 104B) attached at rear end of a rear carrier mounted on the rear frame portion so as to facilitate portability in the folded state of the vehicle; and a pair of foot pegs (105A, 105B) attached at the rear end of the rear carrier so as to facilitate the ride of the vehicle in the folded state of the vehicle. 2. The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front frame portion includes a substantially triangular structure formed by a head tube for mounting the front wheel and a handle bar, a top tube having a head tube joint (101) at front end for establishing a connection with the head tube and an angle joint (102) at rear end for establishing a connection with a top end of the seat tube, and a bottom tube at front end connected to the head tube and at rear end connected to a bottom end of the seat tube, wherein the bottom tube near to its rear end having a bottom tube joint (103), from where the bottom tube is separated into two parts for folding the vehicle. 3. The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 2, wherein the rear frame portion includes a triangular structure formed by the seat tube, seat stays, and chain stays, wherein the seat stays and the chain stays are connected to a hub for mounting a rear wheel, wherein the hub is provided with a hub motor for driving the rear wheel of the vehicle. 4. The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 2, wherein during folding of the vehicle, the front frame portion pivots around the head tube joint (101) and the angle joint (102) of the top tube.

The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 2, wherein the angle joint (102) helps in guiding the rear frame portion such that central axes of both the front and rear wheels become concentric. 6. The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front frame portion includes a locking system to lock the front frame portion in the folded state of the vehicle. 7. The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rear frame portion includes a battery mounted on the rear carrier of the vehicle. 8. The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the folded vehicle rests on the casters (204A, 204B) for making the vehicle stable to stand by itself. 9. The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the pair of foot pegs (105A, 105B) is provided with steering mechanism to control the direction of travel. 10. The adaptive electric vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the vehicle is diamond frame (DF) electric bicycle.

Description:
AN ADAPTIVE ELECTRIC VEHICLE FIELD OF THE INVENTION [0001] The present disclosure is related to the field of transportation. More specifically, the present disclosure is related to the electrical vehicle. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0002] There are different kind of electric vehicles like electric cars, scooters, bikes (bicycles), scooters, skateboards, etc. All these vehicles are tailor-made for a specific environment. For an instance, electric cars are designed for long distance, safe and comfortable travel. Electric scooters are designed for shorter distances (around 150km to 200km) and are intended to be used mostly in the city. Electric skateboards and Segway’s need smooth / paved roads and are designed for shorter commutes and also to be ridden indoors. [0003] There are several modes of indoor personal mobility (IPM) solutions like skateboards, Segways, mini scooters etc. However, these are designed to perform a particular task only. Also, these are very expensive and obviously can’t be the user’s only mode of transport owing to its limitations like range, requirement for smooth roads etc. OBECTIVES OF THE PRESENT INVENTION [0004] The present disclosure offers several objectives: [0005] The main objective of the present disclosure is to improve the indoor micro mobility experience while making it accessible to more people. [0006] Another objective of the present disclosure is that, the users do not have to buy another product for indoor commuting. [0007] Another objective of the present disclosure is that, the same e bike that is designed for the outdoors transforms into a capable indoor micro mobility solution. [0008] Another objective of the present disclosure is that, the indoor commuting becomes faster and much more affordable. Users will not have to buy different products like Segways, skateboards etc. The same e-bike can be used as another form of micro mobility within a few seconds. [0009] Another objective of the present disclosure is that, this vehicle also frees the user from pushing the bike in the folded state and instead of that, the user can just ride it. [0010] Yet another objective of the present disclosure is that, there is no additional cost, no additional accessory, it is completely ready as is. SUMMARY OF INVENTION [0011] This summary is provided to introduce concepts related to an adaptive electric vehicle. The concepts are further described below in a detailed description. This summary is not intended to identify key features or essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended to be used to limit the scope of the claimed subject matter. [0012] Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a adaptive electric vehicle. The vehicle includes a rear frame portion for mounting a rear wheel and a front frame portion for mounting a front wheel. The front frame portion is pivotally connecting to the rear frame portion such that the two frame portions are foldable towards each other to achieve a folded state of the vehicle. The vehicle further includes a pair of casters attached at rear end of a rear carrier mounted on the rear frame portion so as to facilitate portability in the folded state of the vehicle; and a pair of foot pegs attached at the rear end of the rear carrier so as to facilitate the ride of the vehicle in the folded state of the vehicle. [0013] In an aspect, the front frame portion includes a substantially triangular structure formed by a head tube for mounting the front wheel and a handle bar, a top tube having a head tube joint at front end for establishing a connection with the head tube and an angle joint at rear end for establishing a connection with a top end of the seat tube, and a bottom tube at front end connected to the head tube and at rear end connected to a bottom end of the seat tube. The bottom tube near to its rear end having a bottom tube joint, from where the bottom tube is separated into two parts for folding the vehicle. [0014] In an aspect, the rear frame portion includes a triangular structure formed by the seat tube, seat stays, and chain stays, wherein the seat stays and the chain stays are connected to a hub for mounting a rear wheel, wherein the hub is provided with a hub motor for driving the rear wheel of the vehicle. [0015] In an aspect, during folding of the vehicle, the front frame portion pivots around the head tube joint and the angle joint of the top tube. [0016] In an aspect, the angle joint helps in guiding the rear frame portion such that central axes of both the front and rear wheels become concentric. [0017] In an aspect, the front frame portion includes a locking system to lock the front frame portion in the folded state of the vehicle. Overview [0040] The present disclosure is a completely different category of vehicle called as an adaptive electric vehicle. The adaptive electric vehicle is an e-bike or an e-bicycle that folds in seconds in to half of its size. Once the e-bike or an e-bicycle is folded, a set of clever contraptions make the adaptive electric vehicle to be ridden indoors as well. Moreover, the same electric motor and battery that power the e-bike or an e-bicycle in its outdoor mode also power when it is used in the indoor mode. [0041] Thus, the use of the adaptive electric vehicle speeds up indoor commute while making the commute relaxing and non-tiring. It is ideal for large office building, travelling in large public walkways, long corridors, etc. [0042] The present disclosure is the novel vehicle that transform into a different type of vehicle. It transforms from a e bicycle to a product like a Segway in seconds. In its indoor state, it is ideal for a whole variety of use cases like travelling in lobbies, huge halls, corridors, office campuses, stadiums, etc. [0043] However, the present disclosure is an e-bicycle or vehicle that can tackle multiple use cases. It is suited for the outdoors and the indoors. [0044] Users don’t have to buy different vehicles for their outdoor and indoor travel, one vehicle is sufficient. It helps in saving material, lowering the carbon footprint while being super cost effective. [0045] Furthermore, at its core, it is a very capable e bicycle. This means that there are no custom and expensive parts. What this ensures is a very competitive price point and super low ownership costs. [0046] The best mode and the mechanism of the present disclosure is better explained with the following description of the figures. Exemplary Embodiments [0047] Fig. 1 illustrates a lateral view of an adaptive electric vehicle, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. In an aspect, the vehicle is diamond frame (DF) electric bicycle. The DF electric bicycle includes a rear frame portion and a front frame portion, where the front frame portion being pivotally connecting to the rear frame portion such that the two frame portions are foldable towards each other to achieve a folded state of the bicycle. [0048] The front frame portion has a substantially triangular structure formed by a head tube for mounting a front wheel and a handle bar, a top tube having a head tube joint 101 at front end for establishing a connection with the head tube and an angle joint 102 at rear end for establishing a connection with a top end of the seat tube, and a bottom tube at front end connected to the head tube and at rear end connected to a bottom end of the seat tube. In an aspect, the bottom tube near to its rear end having a bottom tube joint 103, from where the bottom tube is separated into two parts. This bottom tube joint 103 is the point where the bicycle “breaks” or “detaches” to start the folding process. The front frame portion also includes a locking system to lock the front frame portion in the folded state of the bicycle. The locking system includes a set of clamps that lock securely. [0049] The rear frame portion having a triangular structure formed by the seat tube, seat stays, and chain stays, wherein the seat stays and the chain stays are connected to a hub for mounting a rear wheel. [0050] The vehicle further includes a pair of casters 104A, 104B attached at rear end of a rear carrier mounted on the rear frame portion so as to facilitate portability in the folded state of the vehicle. [0051] Also, the vehicle includes a pair of foot pegs 105A, 105B attached at the rear end of the rear carrier so as to facilitate the ride of the vehicle in the folded state of the vehicle. [0052] Fig. 2 illustrates a top aerial view of the vehicle, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. A user deploys the retraced foot pegs 105A, 105B with his feet so as to stand on them comfortably. [0062] Fig.7 illustrates the foot pegs 105A, 105B with a steering mechanism in the top view, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The foot pegs 105A, 105B have a steering mechanism that enables the user to control the direction of travel. [0063] Fig. 8 illustrates the user riding the vehicle, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The user deploys the retraced foot pegs 105A, 105B and can use the vehicle as a completely different mode of transport in its folded state. This makes it ideal for travelling in corridors, lobbies, indoor stadiums etc. with his feet so as to stand on them comfortably. [0064] The advantages of the present disclosure are that the users need only one e vehicle for both indoor and outdoor use. [0065] The price is very economical and affordable. The adaptive electric vehicles are a fraction of the price of electric skateboards and e-bike or e-bicycles combined.
