Abstract:
To provide a turning device that turns a wheel having an in-wheel motor, a driving motor that drives a vehicle, in a good state.SOLUTION: The turning device, which turns a wheel having an in-wheel motor, includes: a main body fixed to either one of (1) a turning support member that supports a carrier, which holds the wheel rotatably around a rotation shaft line, so that the carrier can turn around a king pin shaft and (2) a wheel-side member that includes the wheel and is turned around the king pin shaft together with the wheel; a turning motor including an output shaft provided at a position away from the king pin shaft to extend in parallel to the king pin shaft; and a connection mechanism that connects the output shaft to the other of the turning support member and the wheel-side member. Thus, as the output shaft is positioned away from the king pin shaft, the turning motor can be provided without interfering with the in-wheel motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
