To provide a roller bearing for electric and electronic automotive components and auxiliary machinery, which can be effectively prevented from undergoing flaking on rolling contact surfaces due to hydrogen embrittlement and hoot noise generation at low temperatures under conditions of using a roller bearing used in electric and electronic automotive components and auxiliary machinery.
A roller bearing for electric and electronic automotive components and auxiliary machinery which bears a rotary shaft driven by engine output power so as to allow its free rotation on a static member is provided. The roller bearing 1 comprises an inner ring 2, an outer ring 3, a plurality of rolling elements 4 intervening between the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3, and seal members 6 provided at both end openings in the directions of the axes of the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3 in order to seal the peripheries of the rolling elements 4 with a grease composition 7. The grease composition 7 is prepared by adding a molybdate-dispersed oil containing a lubricating oil and a molybdate to a base grease prepared by adding a thickener to a base oil, and the molybdate-dispersed oil is obtained by wet-grinding a molybdate in a lubricating oil containing a surfactant.
