Abstract:

To provide a lubricant composition with improved characteristics, in relating to the lubricant composition for refrigerant applications, especially a lubricant composition for use in a rotary vane compressor used in a refrigeration equipment.

The lubricant composition for use in the rotary vane compressor has a base oil component that includes an alkylbenzene as a major component thereof and a polyhydric alcohol ester as a minor component thereof. In particular, the base oil component includes at least 55 wt.% of alkylbenzene and at most 45 wt.% of a polyhydric alcohol ester, more preferably 55 to 75 wt.% of alkylbenzene and 45 to 25 wt.% of the polyhydric alcohol ester and, especially preferably 60 to 75 wt.% of alkyl benzene and 45 to 25 wt.% of the polyhydric alcohol ester.
