To improve separation accuracy by preventing plastic pieces from being erroneously sorted by being bounced back to the front end side of a separation plate.
The plastic piece sorter has an electrifying device which electrifies plural kinds of plastic pieces, a metallic drum electrode 6 which transports the electrified plastic pieces via a supplying device with fixed quantity from the electrifying device to an electrostatic field for sorting, a high-voltage electrode 8 which is arranged to face the metallic drum electrode 6 and forms the electrostatic field for sorting between itself and a moving electrode and a recovering section 11 which separates and sorts the plastic pieces according to the polarities and the electrostatic quantity. Single or plural recovering chambers 21 to 23 segmented by the separation plates 25A and 25B according to purity or recovering rate are arranged in the recovering section 11 and buffer plates 28 for preventing the bouncing back of the plastic pieces are mounted at the front ends of the separation plates 25A and 25B.
