Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration in picture reading caused in the transient period of carrier start and carrier stop by monitoring a control signal sent to an original carrier motor so as to correct a read output when a carrier start/stop is not linear.
CONSTITUTION: A control signal driving original carrier motors 1, 2 is monitored to detect a stop transient period (n) from an original carrier state (n-1), then let Vn-1, Vn be outputs from a line CCD and Vn-1, Vn be outputs when detecting a displacement of a carrying state (m) from a stopped state (m-1). Then picture data are corrected by a value X expressed in X=(Vn+Vm)/2 corrects the picture data. That is, since the feeding slows down in the transient period from the carrying state to the stop, the output Vn is an output overlapped on a preceding line and the output Vm is an overlapped read output because of the transient period. Thus, picture information in the transient state is formed by averaging (averaged value X) both the outputs.
