To provide a coated film drying device by which an organic solvent of a coated film can be uniformly dried on a substrate in drying treatment of the coated film formed by dissolving an organic material in the organic solvent and to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device using the same.
When an alignment layer is formed, the coated film 23 formed in the stage for forming the alignment layer is dried by blowing a gas 24 to form a coated film 33 having few drying unevenness. The fluctuation of the pre-tilt angle of a liquid crystal by the alignment layer formed after the coated film 33 is subjected to rubbing treatment is drastically reduced as compared with that of the alignment layer formed by drying by using a conventional hot plate and the display unevenness of the liquid crystal display device can be reduced.
