To provide a linear working machine with a safety nut allowing easy adjustment of axial clearances between the side face of a spiral protrusion of the safety nut and the side face of the screw groove of a screw shaft during mounting the safety nut.
The linear working machine 1 with the safety nut is provided with the safety nut 8. The safety nut 8 includes the spiral protrusion 8a on the inner diameter side, whose sectional shape is similar to the shape of the screw groove 5a of the trapezoidal screw shaft 5. The spiral protrusion 8a is located in the screw groove 5a where axial clearances 1, 1' exist between the side face of the spiral protrusion 8a and the side face of the screw groove 5a. The safety nut 8 includes a plurality of circular oblong holes 8b split in the side face along the circumferential direction. By rotating the safety nut 8 around it axial center relative to a trapezoidal screw nut 6, a mounting position relative to the trapezoidal screw nut 6 is adjusted to adjust the axial clearances 1, 1'. Then, a mounting bolt 9 passing through the plurality of circular oblong holes 8b is used for mounting the safety nut 8 on one end face of the trapezoidal screw nut 6.
