Title:
METHOD FOR GENERATING DUMMY THREE-DIMENSIONAL DYNAMIC IMAGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3182321
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To generate a three-dimensional dynamic image efficiently as a natural image by initially mapping respective image areas on an optional screen to different layers according to the distances and then generating images for both the eyes from variation in the distances of the layers.
CONSTITUTION: The screen is divided into plural image areas first. The respective areas, for example, a road and its periphery are allocated to a layer 1, a bus is allocated to a layer 2, and a buildings are allocated to a layer 3 according to the distances. Distances from a view point to the layers 1-3 are denoted as d1-d3. Namely, objects in the same images are considered to be at one of the distances d1-d3, and then integrated into one layer to decrease the man-hours of process computation. After the allocation ends, the layers 1 and 3 including no moving body are fixed, but the bus in the layer 2 moves, so variation in the distance between the viewpoint and bus is calculated from variation in the length of the bus on the screen and d2 is varied. According to d1-d3, the parallax between both eyes is determined and the images for both eyes are generated.
