To enhance separation accuracy by selectively intensifying electrostatic force acting on particles by enhancing the intensity of an electric field in the vicinity of a position where particles are present in an electrostatic separation apparatus provided in order to enhance separation capacity, to stabilize the scattering tracks of different granular substances in a charge part and an electrostatic part and to achieve an additional measure for enhancing separation accuracy in a part other than the electrostatic part.
A powder input part 11 for inputting different granular substances a1, a2, a charge part 12 for charging the different granular substances, an electrostatic part 13 applying electrostatic force to the charged different granular substances and a recovery part 14 recovering the granular substances separated by electrostatic force are provided. In this case, the earth electrode constituting the charge part and the electrostatic part is formed as a drum electrode 15 rotated in one direction and a continuity part 24 for earthing the drum electrode is provided to an area other than a bearing contact part of a rotary shaft 21 and a bearing 22 thereof.
