To generate string resonance well simulated with a natural keyboard instrument, in an electronic musical instrument with a sound board.
A sound source device 21 generates a musical sound signal of direct sound corresponding to operation of key pressing, and the musical sound signal of the string resonance related to the direct sound. After passing a digital signal processor (DSP) 25, and being converted into an analog signal by a digital/analog converter (DAC) 26, the musical signal of the direct signal passes high-pass filters 271 and 272 and amplifiers 281 and 282, and it is respectively input to speakers 7 to 10 for high middle sound and speakers 11 and 12 for high sound. The musical signal of the direct sound is combined with the musical sound of the string resonance which is input from the sound source device 21, and it is converted into the analog signal, and input to a vibrator 6 through a low-pass filter 273 and an amplifier 283. The vibrator 6 is fixed to the sound board 3, and the sound board 3 generates musical sound including the string resonance by vibration of the vibrator 6.
