Abstract:

To provide a device for opening and closing a lid of a petri dish without depending on manual operation of an inspector in measuring of falling bacteria.

The petri dish opening and closing device has a receiver fixing part 13 for fixing a receiver of the petri dish comprising a receiver and a lid and a lid fixing part 30 for fixing the lid, wherein, when the receiver is fixed on the receiver fixing part 13 and the lid is fixed on the lid fixing part 30, the petri dish is opened and closed by shuttling one or both of the receiver fixing part 13 and the lid fixing part 30 between a first position where the lid completely seals a receiver opening and a second position where the lid is completely removed from the upper part of the receiver opening.
