Abstract:
PURPOSE: To exchange a bearing without demounting an adapter by fitting the adapter to the one end part of a roll shaft on which a bearing is mounted, detachably connecting an universal coupling to the other end thereof, and shortening the outer diameter of the adapter more than the inner diameter of a bearing.
CONSTITUTION: A roller shaft 1 has a shaft bearing part 4 and a connecting bearing part 5, and a roller bearing 6 is fit to the shaft bearing part 4. An adapter 28 is constituted by a single parts, and the fit part 29 of the connecting bearing part 5 is provided on the end part of the roller shaft 1 side. The outer diameter of the fitting part 29 is formed in the same diameter as that of the shaft bearing part 4 or slightly formed smaller than that. The shaft bearing part 4 and the fitting part 29 are connected to each other by a key 25, and fixed by a stop screw 26. In the case where the roll bearing 6 is exchanged, a bolt 27 is released, and spline connection of the adapter 28 is released. The outer diameter of the adapter 28 is formed in the same diameter as the inner diameter of the roll bearing 6 or smaller than that, and thereby, it is possible to exchange the roll bearing 6 without demounting the adapter 28 from the roll shaft 1.
