Abstract:
To provide an achromatic platemaking method capable of eliminating visual noise represented by a rosetta pattern, reducing the use amount of color ink of CMY without degrading image quality and allows color adjustment to be performed more satisfactorily than heretofore, and reducing the asperity feeling of a printed image more than heretofore even in the occurrence of trouble in an India ink unit of a printer.
India ink substitution characteristics for generating a color conversion table for achromatic platemaking, which is used for achromatic processing, are so set that an India ink substitution rate is high for a part having low luminance of a pattern of an image and is gradually lower as the luminance is higher.
